
26 Felony Arrests In Angelina County October 7 – 13
There were 26 felony arrests in Angelina County from October October 7th to 13th, 2024. During the previous two weeks, there were 22 felony arrests, and only 12 the week before that.
The better the weather the more the number of arrests keeps increasing. There are 264 inmates inside the Angelina County Jail in Texas according to angelinacounty.net.

Most of the inmates featured with mugshots below are pretrial felons. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Lufkin Man Found With Escaped Woman, Meth, And Drugs
Angelina County Sheriff Deputies arrested Justin Edward Johnson, 49, in Lufkin on gun and meth charges after finding him with Kayla Denise Kircher, 32, who according to the Lufkin Daily News, escaped from a secure healthcare facility.
Kircher fled by pulling a fire alarm, which allowed her to leave the facility. Deputies found Kircher hiding in Johnson's camper trailer on Coach Redd Road during an investigation.
They found drug paraphernalia and multiple weapons in plain sight.
Potential Federal Charges For Lufkin Man Hiding Escaped Woman
After obtaining a search warrant they found a short-barreled, AR-type .223 caliber rifle configured for fully automatic fire, a sawed-off shotgun, and around 17 grams of meth. Both of the firearms found are illegal under state and federal laws, and deputies have been collaborating with the ATF for potential federal charges.
Johnson faces possession and prohibited weapons charges.

Kircher is being held for various charges including possession of a controlled substance, and her bond has been set at a total of $23,500.
