Felony Arrests In Nacogdoches County Sept 7 – 13
There are currently 307 inmates in the Nacogdoches County Jail. 26 are pretrial Class A and B Misdemeanor offenders.
This report focuses on the 202 pretrial felons (176 male and 26 female). There are 25 pretrial state jail felons and 56 in the "all other" category.
There have been 3,467 bookings in and out of the jail in 2024. The 13 pretrial and state jail felons pictured below were arrested from September 7 - 13th, 2024 in and near Nacogdoches, Texas.

While we see the charges for each of the felons in the gallery below, we don't always get a full picture of the crimes that they commit. The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office has now shared the story behind these two felons featured in previous weeks via Facebook.
Daymon Mortez Caldwell, 33, and Keana Clark, 27 of Sikeston, Missouri were pulled over on August 26, 2024, at around 12:15 AM due to a traffic violation and expired plates.
Deputies reported smelling marijuana during the stop and found that Caldwell had an outstanding Nacogdoches warrant for marijuana possession.

During a search of the 2023 Grey Toyota, four big bags full of methamphetamine were located. The total weight of the bags was 8.7 lbs.
First-Degree Felony Charges For Possession
The pair were taken into custody and charged with first-degree felonies for possession of a controlled substance. (POSS CS PG 1 >=400G)
Their bonds are now set at $100,000 each. If convicted they could receive between 5 - 99 years in jail and a fine of up to $10,000.
