14 Felony Arrests In Nacogdoches County February 8 – 14

The Nacogdoches County Jail has 305 inmates. If you are arrested in the Nacogdoches area, you will be held there.

This past week was a big win for Nacogdoches area law enforcement. Nacogdoches Police arrested several people for aggravated robberies in coordination with the Nacogdoches Combined Swat team.

Their arrests and charges are now showing up, but no bond has been set. They are expecting more arrests to be made in connection with these crimes.

Garrison Man Back In Jail After Previous Standoff

A standoff between a man and the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office last year ended peacefully, but the man at the center of it all is back behind bars today with a $100K bond. According to KLTV deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Chase Street in Garrison at 6:33 PM on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

When deputies arrived they found the suspect Larry Dean Hartsfield, then 63, armed with a knife pointed at his chest. A standoff began as deputies called for backup and EMS.

Deputies were able to de-escalate the situation and after about 30 minutes he put the knife down. The woman he was accused of assaulting was examined and treated at the scene after her injuries were documented.

Pineland Man Arrested For Sex Abuse Of A Child

Levesta Williams Jr., 69, of Pineland is in the Nacogdoches County Jail and charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14. He is also charged with indecency with a child through sexual conduct.
